THE HISTORY OF COUNCIL 11402 All Saints Council 11402 was constituted in 1994. Our Brother Knights Frank Filipowicz and John Lynch from All Saints parish in Dunwoody, Georgia recognized the need for a local council by the rapidly expanding parish. Their petition was reviewed by General Agent, Douglas Gotsch, under the auspices of the KofC State Council, and with the support of Pastor Msgr. R. Donald Kiernan.
KofC District Deputy Dwight Person and Field Agent, Rick Abell gave presentations at a meeting held at All Saints on June 14, 1994. Following a favorable response by the men in attendance, a recruitment drive was initiated. Twenty-one active members of other Councils transferred to the newly formed Council 11402. Parish knights who were inactive were contacted and eighteen individuals were reactivated. The drive for new members proved highly successful and thirty five members were initiated on July 11,1994.
The membership selected All Saints as the council name at a meeting held on July 26, 1994 and elected a slate of officers; Brother Knight Frank Welter became the first Grand Knight of the newly established Council.
